[DECEMBER 2010] Co-founder Craig Bezant was interviewed by the esteemed horror site, Horror Reanimated. You can read the discussion on their website.

Dark Prints Press was founded by Craig and Avril Bezant.

Craig has earned a few stripes in the dark fiction world. He has had short fiction published across other small press ventures, has been an award-nominated reviewer for HorrorScope and Black Magazine, is a member of the Australian Horror Writers Association, and was a judge for their 2009 and 2010 Australian Shadows Award.

Avril represents the readers' side of DPP, as well as being crafty on the business end. She knows what makes a good story, and isn't afraid to critique the hell out of something until it is written just right. She also has a degree in Multimedia Design, which she can finally put to use through this business. With the ability to think laterally, realistically, and practically, she is definitely a welcomed part of DPP.

Dark Prints Press......is an Australian independent publisher, established in 2010, who aims to publish works of dark fiction (encompassing crime, mystery, thriller, suspense, speculative fiction (horror, dark fantasy) and dark comedy).

Dark Prints Press also publishes the online fiction magazine,  Eclecticism E-zine. The first publication for Dark Prints was the anthology, ‘An Eclectic Slice of Life’, representing the best of the first 2 years of the e-zine. Eclecticism E-zine has been shortlisted for 2 awards, is archived in the National Library of Australia, and has established a dedicated readership and subscription list over the past 4 years. ‘An Eclectic Slice of Life’ was nominated for a Western Australian Science Fiction Foundation (or 'Tin Duck') award for Best WA Professional Production.

Dark Prints Press is about to release its first crime and horror anthologies, The One that Got Away and Surviving the End respectively, featuring a mix of masters of the genre to new, talented voices. They are also preparing a Novella series and will soon open their Novel and Children / YA lines, the latter titled ‘Darklings’.  Author Martin Livings will have his short story collection, Living with the Dead, released in August 2012.

Publications will see a mixture of print and digital editions.
